Tom, very well done and informative summary. Your direction is spot on. Looking at the universe from the big bang to AI through the lens of information, I am starting a publishing project with OSV. I have a stack called "I think I see" for practice.

You might also be interested in taking a look at the book "Design in Nature" by Prof. Adrian Bejan at Duke. His formulation of the Constructal Law of physics provided me the foundation for a long-sought goal of uniting thermodynamics and information, which has born fruit over the last years. This will be the subject of my rants to come. Of course, being an info-geek, I don't have the attention span for a 1600 page tome, and hope to re-invent the book as a more efficient knowledge transmitter. I hope to have the opportunity to speak with you in the future.

Great post. I would also love to see more cultural growth of exploration of the meaning crisis and meaning in life. I try to focus my Substack and Rumble on the meaning crisis and solutions, and I was partly inspired by people like Jordan Peterson and John Vervaeke, but I'm also a big fan of Roger Scruton on beauty and metaphysics from what I've read and heard. I like the idea from the Navigating Patterns YouTube channel that the meaning crisis is an intimacy crisis (where the intimacy being talked about includes platonic intimacy and is moreso caused by a lack of it), so I'm generally trying to explore it from that vantage point, looking for and at relevant information patterns to attempt to deduce what's most probable.
